What started as a clearance sale...

Geek Trader Market has grown into something much larger than Chris Meeuwes and John Gardiner ever imagined. As longtime friends with a shared passion for all things nerdy (and a mutual distaste for big-box retail), they initially set up a yard sale outside John’s shop, TC Paintball, to clear out some cluttered inventory after he became the new owner.

The sale was a success, though the parking lot felt a bit empty. Knowing they had friends in the community with their own collections to sell, Chris and John put out a call for local vendors and creators to join them. What started with one vendor grew to 13, then 25, and now regularly features around 30!

At its core, Geek Trader Market is all about supporting our local nerd community. We aim to bring people together, help neighbors get to know one another, and provide an affordable starting point for vendors to test the waters with their crafts and collections before moving on to bigger shows.
